Eight Ukrainian craft brands into top US media in three weeks

Association of Ukrainian craft makers (TradeWithUA Alliance), Shoppe Object Winter, New York, 1–3 February 2026.

30+placements
3.3M+reach on Dezeen, 270M on Yahoo
All 8 brands covered
20+warm leads, including Forbes, Vogue and Apt Therapy
Details

Under three weeks to the show, no US positioning, and buyers to reach: Anthropologie, MoMA, museum stores. Eight brands in home decor, gifting and kids: Anzy Home, Babai, dodomoom, Edere Editions, Fire Rabbit, WOOD MOOD, Woolberry, YaKUSH.

What we did:

  • A fast go-to-market review. US positioning for every brand: mother-led, heirloom, reclaimed timber.
  • 267 leads and 46 trade media contacts. The announcement email, "Ukrainian brands are back. Collab?", got a 61% open rate.
  • One shared press kit and eight individual ones. A briefing for the team on stand #3-D432.
  • Three waves: pre-show trade pitches and influencer samples, a Valentine's pitch and a five-article Dezeen special project during the show, then follow-ups and a print op-ed in Home Accents Today after it.

Into the Italian tech scene in three months

Zmist & Copy, B2B content agency for tech companies. Spring–summer 2026.

Two columns in Agenda Digitale, a third in discussion
A first press publication
A working market map
A recorded teardown
Details

The agency had clients in the US, Switzerland and the EU, and none in Italy. Three months, a small PR budget, nothing for paid placements or event slots.

What we did:

  • Mapped the Italian tech ecosystem: media, communities such as Data Pizza and Codemotion, events, funds, hubs, influencers.
  • Built the entry around the founder's expertise, not an agency announcement: positioning, AI-search, B2B content strategy.
  • Wave 1 was broad: comics for communities, speaker pitches, expert pitches to media. It got little back. Paid slots, a new name, a foreign expert.
  • Wave 2: an Italian press kit and a press release about the market entry. It got the first publication.
  • Wave 3: three outlets only, Data Pizza, Agenda Digitale, EconomyUp. Agenda Digitale published two of the founder's columns and is ready for a third.
  • Al Banco: a 30-minute teardown of a startup's homepage with its founder, recorded. First one with a Rome-based AI startup.

Publications:

What we learned: relationships beat the perfect pitch. Three live contacts beat a big list with no replies. Some outlets are paid, so plan for it from day one. Aim for a year, not a quarter.
